Biography

Dr. Khalid Alawadi is a German Board-Certified Plastic Surgeon with almost 21 years of experience in surgery and plastic surgery. He is Board-Certified in Plastic Surgery by the European Board of Plastic Surgery (EBOPRAS) and board-certified in hand surgery by the Federation of European Societies for Surgery of the Hand (FESSH). As a board-certified hand surgeon, Dr. Alawadi has vast experience in hand injuries and soft tissue and joint deformities of the hand. After graduating from Ain Shams University medical school in 1998, Dr. Alawadi received his training in the field of general surgery in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. In 2003, he started his specialized training in plastic surgery at Freie Universität, Berlin, as well as at the University of Freiburg, Germany. In 2013, he established a dedicated center for hand and microsurgery at Rashid Hospital, Dubai, which became the leading center for hand surgery and reconstructive microsurgery in the whole UAE. He is the Head of the Hand and Reconstructive Microsurgery Unit at Rashid Hospital Traum Center and Director of Surgery. He is the President of the Emirates Hand Surgery Society (EHSS), a past Vice President of the Emirates Plastic Surgery Society (EPSS), and a Member of many international societies.
