Biography
Dr. Aldahshan has more than 10 years of experience in Gastroenterology and Hepatology in Germany as well as in the UAE. He is experienced in performing the Entire spectrum of Endoscopies including Diagnostic and therapeutic Gastroscopy, Diagnostic and Therapeutic colonoscopies. Reflux Disease management, pH-metry, esophageal Manometry, Fibro scan among many other Diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. Biliary tract diseases are among one of his expertise performing ERCP, Cholangioscopy with spyglass, Lithotripsy, Electrohydraulic stone removal and sampling of the biliary tract using highly specialized scopes for the biliary tract. He has particular interest in Endoscopic Ultrasound especially highly complex cases such as collection drainage, Radiofrequency ablation of biliary tract disease, Pseudocyst drainage, Necrosectomy and Internal Organ biopsies with FNB and FNAC that needs thorough assessment and sense of responsibility. Dr Aldahshan is pioneer in the UAE and certified in performing highly complicated procedure Endoscopic Full thickness resection of large polyps and early-stage tumors, which prevents the exposure of many patients to surgical interventions. Part of his interest is focused on Bariatric management with special attention to balloon insertion, removal and post-operative complications management with broad experience in this field after working for long years with a bariatric center. Prior to joining Burjeel Medical City, Abu Dhabi, he was the Consultant Gastroenterologist and Head of department of NMC Royal Hospital Khalifa City.
