Biography

Dr. Dima Ibrahim completed her internal medicine and infectious disease specialties at the American University of Beirut Medical Centre before beginning her transplant infectious diseases fellowship at Duke University Medical Centre (DUMC) (AUBMC). Her expertise includes infection management in immunocompromised populations, substantial and stem cell transplant recipients, hematologic malignancies, and left ventricular assist device (LVAD) infections. Dr. Dima has participated in medical research, published six articles in peer-reviewed medical journals, and presented at local and international conferences. She was also heavily involved in teaching, infection control, and developing prophylaxis protocols at AUBMC and DUMC.
