Biography

Dr. Hameed Raina has joined Burjeel Hospital as a Specialist Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist. He did his MBBS, MD (Internal Medicine), and DM (Gastroenterology and Hepatology) from reputed Institutes in India. He qualified for MRCP-UK in 2020. After super -Specialization in Gastroenterology and Hepatology, he did Fellowships in Motility Disorders (FMPB 2020), Diagnostic and Therapeutic EUS (FEUS 2021), and Advanced Therapeutic Endoscopy /Third space Endoscopy (FATE- 2022) from reputed centers in India and S. Korea. He is an expert in all adult and pediatric gastrointestinal, liver, and pancreaticobiliary diseases, early gastrointestinal cancers, ERCP, diagnostic and therapeutic GI, and mediastinal EUS, all diagnostic and advanced therapeutic UGI and LGI endoscopy, third space endoscopy (ESD, STER, EFTR, and POEM), motility disorders, manometry and biofeedback, narrow band imaging and chromoendoscopy for diagnosing early GI cancers, capsule endoscopy and enteroscopy for small intestinal diseases. Dr. Hameed Raina is a keen researcher with over 50 peer-reviewed publications in high-indexed journals to his credit. He is also the reviewer of many journals. Before joining us, he served as a Consultant Gastroenterologist, Hepatologist, Advanced Therapeutic Endoscopist, and Endosonographer in many reputed hospitals in India. He has a vast experience of about nine years in gastroenterology, hepatology, and endoscopy. He has performed more than thirty thousand endoscopic procedures.  He has won many international awards and is a lifetime Member of many international professional societies like ACG, EASL, ASGE, WEO, ESGE, UEG, and APASL.
